ureteral stricture

I have a patient who I've worked with for over a year with R-sided flank discomfort & digestive issues. Overall she was doing much better and we were starting to spread out her sessions every 6 months. I saw her on 10/4:
GL: R lower pelvis
LL: small intestine tubes
EL: R kidney

treated that area + R kidney, renal vessels, uterus, R ovary and R dura at sacrum
She had a running race a week later and noticed the R flank pain coming back (she mentioned she was dehydrated too). On 10/20 the pain was so bad she went to the ER, imaging showed no kidney stones but a ureteral stricture that they placed a stent in temporarily. They're recommending a pyeloplasty for a more permanent fix and think it was just genetic.

My brain goes to these main things:
- Did I maybe cause this irritation by working her renal vessels?
- I have worked on her ureter last year, but maybe should have done that this past treatment as well
- And how can I help someone catch something like this earlier in the future
