Thanks Ron,  I have a very complicated patient.  I can feel the twist in her brainstem but I dont want to move it when I feel the issue in her pharyngeal area.  I just want to know the exact motility directions for the upper esophagus, trachea along with the ascending and arch of the aorta.  I understand the mechanics of the lower esophagus, heart and lungs but want confirmation for these other structures on how they rotate during respiration.  I do believe respiration follows motility.  I do remember that there is a slight right  transverse rotation of the esophagus and vagus nerves and the right vagus is more posterior.  is that only the distal esophagus?  Also I imagine that the trachea moves posterior more on the inhale because most people are right dominant in there right lung would be more active?  Also the way the bronchial arteries come off the aorta,  more posterior on the right side.  anyway thanks for your help
